Kinda quiet around here, huh? I've been out the last two evenings, which has put me behind. Been walking the lake and meeting friends for dinner, all very nice. The weather is gorgeous just at the moment, clear and cool. The tippy tip of the Sound is teeming with salmon in the throes of adjusting from salt water to fresh so they can head up through Capitol Lake to their spawning grounds in the Deschutes. Last night there were four or five seals bobbing between the Fourth and Fifth Avenue bridges, hoping for salmon take out.
I say watch this space because I have every intention of trying to get pictures of this spectacle tomorrow evening -- or at least pictures of people enjoying the spectacle. So, more soon! In the meantime, you can see a little video of this phenomenon here.
